Hello and Welcome!

I am so glad you are joining us! My name is Heather and I am currently a middle school French teacher in my 24th year teaching. I hold a Bachelor’s of Arts in French, Spanish and Education. I have a Master’s Degree in Secondary French Education. I have taught Spanish from k-9th grade and French from 7-12th grade as well as 100 and 200 level in college. I have nearly completed my TESOL certification as well.

I have always loved watching people learn new things. I find it so inspiring to watch someone master something that used to be challenging. It fills my cup to witness this. That’s why I am here, sharing with you.

Education methods and practices have certainly changed since 2001 when I started my career. Gone are the days of standing in front of the room, lecturing to students. Thank goodness! When I stumbled across the idea of gamification in the classroom, I dove in, and it turned out to be the most revolutionary thing I have ever done in my classroom. So much so, that I feel it’s my responsibility to share with other educators. This is truly the future of education. But more of that to come!

Stay tuned as I share thoughts weekly on my blog. If you teach language and you are looking for some of my gamification resources, you can browse my TPT store. If you would like to be part of my Game On Language community on Facebook so you have access to daily posts and a growing community of like-minded educators, I would love to have you there! Also, please feel free to sign up for my monthly newsletter that is full of tips and tricks for the gamified classroom! I am so glad you are on this journey with me!
